Ingeborg Annie Lindahl (b. 1981, Harstad) was one of the pioneering students from Tromsø Academy of Contemporary art and finished her BA in 2010 as she simultaneously took an part time producer management program at Harstad University College. After her BA. she relocated to Bergen, Norway to pursue her Masters of Fine art (2012) at Bergen National Academy of the Arts. She is the second winner of VossaJazz-scholarship with solo exhibition at Banksmidja (Voss 2013), and received the Per Spilling price (Harstad 2013). She now lives and workes in Harstad. Lindahl is also an art consultant for KORO (the Norwegian Public Art commissioning body), and is bordmenber at Artic Art Festival in Harstad. She has exhibitied extensively in Norway and internationally. In 2016 she was a part The 2nd SEA Triennale, at the National Gallery of Indonesia, Jakarta. Recent solo exhibitions in Norway: main artist at Ilios festival for new music at Galleri NordNorge (Harstad 2016), Trafo kunsthall (Asker 2015) and Ariblå (2015 Sortland). She participated in residency programs at St Petersburg Art Residency, and Barents Residenct Murmansk Oblast (Russia 2015), Karelian centre of contempoary art and culture (Pedrozavodsk 2014) and Nordic Artist Centre Dale (Dalsåsen 2013).

Ingeborg Annie Lindahl is mainly working site-specific in several mediums, she has been most noted for her large scale chalk-drawings and installations. Lindahl’s artistic method combines the outcome from field trips and personal experience of the place. When Lindahl started working with chalk, she was drawn by impermanence and thoughts for expulsion. She has used chalk in several different shapes; as marble, plaster and pigment, playing with the idea of mankind as a early stage of becoming mineral. Lindahls work is in many ways performance based, where she is portraying the landscape in a romantic and dramatic manner. Her material substantiates a manifestation of change, both in how knowledge is made and how nature is in a constant state of transformation. Lindahl is interested in the landscape of echoes in the sphere of human thought, and explore culture and value in our time in relation to nature. She sees her work as an artistic investigation, and chooses her medium in accordance with the questions that the work engender. Parallel to individual work that includes drawing, video, installations, land art and performance, Lindahl have initiated Ut i min hage (Harstad, 2011). Where she brought up questions about where and how art is shown, using her garden and garage as exhibition place. By other curatorial projects can SABOTage (Innvik, 2014), odds (Odda, 2012) be mentioned.
