Nicolas Siepen er kunstner, filmskaper, forfatter og forlegger, og mellom 2009 og 2016 var han professor ved Tromsø Kunstakademi. Siepen vil også i år holde et tre-dagers seminar på festivalen, der du vil bli invitert til å aktivt engasjere deg med programmet innen 'bevegelige bilder' på festivalen. //Nicolas Siepen born 1966 in Cologne, is a Berlin based artist, filmmaker and theoretician. He writes frequently on post-structuralism, marxism, film and current questions of new forms of capitalism and left politics. As a art critic he has written for numerous publications, including Springerin, Texte zur Kunst, FAZ. He is co-founder of the bookstore and publishing house b_books which was part of Documenta 12 and publishes books on art, film, performance, urbanism, queer theory, activism and politics. He is member of The Performing Arts Forum (PAF) in France. In the 1990s he was part of the artist group KlasseZwei and the band ZigarettenRauchen and participated in various international exhibitions and filmfestivals, among them Berlinale and Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen. Between 2009 and 2016 he was Professor of visual arts at the Academy of Contemporary Arts in Tromso, Norway.
Nicolas Siepen will hold a three-day morning seminar at Arctic Moving Image & Film Festival.
