Camilla Figenschou

Camilla Figenschou er en norsk kunstner og filmskaper med mastergrad i kunst fra kunsthøgskolen Konstfack i Stockholm, som også har studert film i Buenos Aires og ved Nordland kunst- og filmfagskole. Figenschou har tidligere regissert to kortfilmer. Å åpne, å se (2012) ble vist ved en rekke festivaler i inn- og utland og ble tildelt Terje Vigen-prisen på Kortfilmfestivalen i 2012. 

Til AMIFF kommer hun med sin første spillefilm, Pil og Bue (2016) og deltar i samtale etter visningen.

Bow and arrow is a hybrid film; a portrait of a real place and real people: a horse center and rehabilitation center in Vesterålen, Northern Norway, but at the same time a fiction story where we follow a fictivional character, Mia, from Oslo, entering the place and going through therapy. My aim and experiment with this film is to tell the story in a way that mirrors the philosophy of the place: a commitment to being in the present and to be able to communicate with the horses - and to give the audience not just a ”story”, but a sensory experience of the place and the people.
